Sree Sakthi Engineering College in association with World Wide Education, Salem organized 10 days faculty development program on “Elevate and Inspire: 10 Days FDP on Teaching, Mentoring, Communication and Attitude Building” to empower the faculty to embrace new challenges and opportunities required to navigate the evolving landscape of education.

Objective:
• To empower educators to address the unique challenges of modern education and embrace new opportunity
• To promote continuous professional development and lifelong learning among faculty members
• To improve the communication skills and foster collaborative learning atmosphere

Program overview:

Day 1:
“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom”
On the opening day, we embraced the chance to connect and learn about each other. In addition to this, we explored how to respond to question effectively using linkers and phrases.

Day 2:
“Language is the roadmap of a culture”
On the next day, team activities turn learning preposition and new vocabulary into as exciting adventures

Day 3:
“Role play is not just about acting; it’s about steeping into another’s shoes to gain perspective and enhance understanding”
Day 3 brought the trill of mock role play putting our skills to the test in a dynamic setting.

Day 4:
“Good communication is the bridge between confusion and clarity”
On day 4 we divided into two teams and engaged in a lively talkathon.

Day 5:
“Good presentation are not just about talking they are about making impact”
On the next day we focused on extempore speaking and learned effective strategies for presenting a seminar

Day 6:
“Reading is not just the skill it’s the foundation for lifelong learning”
On the sixth day, we concentrated on the reading subskills and its crucial role in enhancing teaching practices.

Day 7:
“The ability to speak well in public is the secret to personal and professional success”
On the 7th day, we covered Public speaking and execution of PPPP framework (i.e. plan, prepare, practice and perform)

Day 8:
“Class success is not just in delivery, but in the connection with every student”
Day 8 was dedicated to product writing and featuring a demo session that walked us through pre-while-post teaching phases.

Day 9:
“Great things never came from comfort zones”
On the 9th day, we showcased model classroom teaching, which was assessed by our heads. Moreover the heads shared the reviews for the improvising the shortcomings.

Day 10:
“The end of one journey is the start of another”

On the closing day we had valedictory ceremony graced by the presence of our honorable Correspondent Dr. S. Karthikeyan, along with our distinguished Principal Dr. G. Jayaprakash, esteemed CEO Dr. N.Prasannan and beloved Dean Prof. P. Malarvizhi. The guest of honor Mr.Arunkumar, Mr.Sivaprakasam and Ms. Vinola Sivaprakasam also joined the celebration. The program started at 2.00 PM with Prayer song by our faculty members. Next Ms.Bharani AP/EEE welcomed the gathering and invited the dignitaries for Lamplit ceremony. Afterward, we had a visual storytelling session led by Ms.Gayathree K, AP/ECE. After this, we were engaged in various activities such as satire comedy act, endorsement, pantomime, theatrical performance, endorsement and short film. Following that Correspondent, Dr.S.Karthikeyan took the stage for a keynote address and insisted the importance of the FDP to the faculty members. Special address was given by the Principal, Dr.G.Jayaprakash, CEO Dr.N.Prasannan and Dean Prof.P.Malarvizhi. Subsequently, the guests were presented with shawls and gifts in recognition of their presence. Next, our CEO Dr.N.Prasannan called the faculty to receive their certificates from the guests. Finally, Ms. Pauline Jothi Kiruba, AP/EEE proposed the Vote of Thanks. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem.
