The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has been successfully functioning since 2001. The main objective of the department is to provide a platform through which stakeholders can acquire knowledge about advanced emerging technologies. At present, the department has expanded to 150 students with 4 UG programs: BE (CSE), BE CSE (AI&ML), BE CSE (CYBER SECURITY), and BE CSE (AI&DS). The ability of the students to learn makes it easier for the industry-trained, experienced faculty to produce top-notch engineers who are being recruited by reputed companies all over the world. Comprising a dynamic blend of faculty, researchers, and students, it is a hub for intellectual exploration and cutting-edge advancement. Continuous interactions with the industry help our students brace themselves to absorb into the industry and pursue higher studies abroad. As its core, the department focuses on the theoretical and practical aspects of computing, ranging from algorithms and data structures to artificial intelligence and software engineering. Faculty members, often experts in diverse fields, impart knowledge that equips students with problem-solving skills crucial for a rapidly evolving technological landscape. Research within the department explores novel solutions to real-world challenges, contributing to the global pool of knowledge. Students engage in projects that span various domains, fostering creativity and critical thinking. Collaboration with industry partners and research institutions amplifies the department impact, leading to the development of breakthrough technologies. Internship opportunities and industry connections provide students with valuable hands-on experience, preparing them for a successful career in technology.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering Lab serves as a practical hub for students to explore theoretical concepts through hands-on experimentation. Equipped with computers, software tools, and networking infrastructure, it offers an environment for coding, debugging, and testing algorithms. In this dynamic space, students engage in activities ranging from programming assignments to simulation exercises, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Through guided experiments and independent projects, they gain proficiency in software development, data analysis, and system administration. The computer science lab bridges the gap between theory and application, preparing students for real world challenges in technology-driven industries. A round-the-clock internet facility is there.
The "Guido van Rossum Lab" named after Guido van Rossum, the creator of the Python programming language, the lab embodies his innovative spirit and commitment to open-source collaboration. The laboratory consists of state-of-art infrastructure with high-end configuration computing equipment supported by high-speed Ethernet and wireless networks. This lab is provided with high-speed internet connectivity around the clock. It is equipped with a wide variety of proprietary and open-source software for experimenting with real world concepts. Some software is Python 3.11, Java 1.8, Turbo C++ etc., with the help of which the students can build their own code and learn how to develop programming skills to take place in the real world.
