The SSEC Library stands as the intellectual cornerstone of the institution, reflecting a steadfast commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and academic excellence. Thoughtfully designed to meet the diverse needs of students, faculty, and researchers, it provides a serene, inspiring, and resource-rich environment that fosters deep study, collaborative learning, and research-oriented exploration. The Library features a spacious reading hall and an advanced digital learning zone with a seating capacity for one hundred and fifty learners, offering a comfortable, fully air-conditioned space equipped with ergonomically designed furniture, optimal lighting, and an ambiance conducive to focused study. Its carefully curated collection supports the academic, professional, and intellectual growth of the entire campus community, including over four thousand volumes of books across more than twenty-two thousand titles, over six thousand e-books, printed journals, e-journals, magazines, and newspapers, encompassing reference works, textbooks, competitive exam guides, project reports, and specialized resources for engineering, technology, and management disciplines.
The Library seamlessly integrates traditional and digital learning, with all operations fully automated through modern library management software, allowing users to effortlessly search for resources by author, title, accession number, publisher, or subject heading, and to check real-time availability. A self-service KIOSK system enables students and faculty to borrow and return books independently, while the digital learning zone, with forty-eight multimedia computer systems, provides access to e-books, e-journals, CD/DVD collections, and online databases. Institutional memberships with DELNET, NPTEL, and the National Digital Library of India further enhance learning by providing inter-library loans, access to video lectures from premier institutes, and a wide range of educational content spanning multiple disciplines. The Library is monitored through RFID security gates and CCTV cameras, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all users.
More than just a repository of information, the SSEC Library is a dynamic hub of knowledge and innovation, empowering students and faculty to explore, create, and excel. It offers a fully integrated environment for both independent and collaborative study, with multiple copies of key resources in the Reference and Stock Sections to ensure availability. Additional services such as photocopying, internet access, CD/DVD lending, and reference assistance make the Library a truly comprehensive academic support center. With dedicated departmental hours, a user-friendly approach, and a rich collection of national and international resources, the SSEC Library meets the intellectual, academic, and research needs of the campus community, establishing itself as a center of excellence and a cornerstone of scholarly life.
